Presented by Healthcare Design magazine in partnership with The Center for Health Design and Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, The Nightingale Awards recognize contribution to the healthcare built environment through product design and innovation that contributes to healing.

This competition is open only to companies that are exhibitors during the HEALTHCARE DESIGN CONFERENCE + EXPO, November 4-7, 2023, at the Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA.

No prototypes. Manufacturers must be able to ship/deliver/install products entered in the 2023 Nightingale Awards by April 1, 2024.

Each manufacturer/brand may enter as many products into the competition in as many categories as they wish. Any product may be entered in one or more categories as the product fits and products that cross categories may be entered into different categories, where they will be evaluated by different teams of jurors. There are 18 product categories.

If a product is entered into an additional category, an additional entry fee corresponding to the deadlines of Regular or Late must be paid and an additional digital entry must be completed. An entrant can duplicate an existing entry and use the drop-down menu to select the category.

To enter, each entrant must submit a completed entry form at https://nightingaleawards.secure-platform.com/a, which includes a product description, and responds to the criteria questions presented, not to exceed 200 words per criteria question. Up to three images of each product entered are to be submitted in low-resolution for digital review by the jury; and up to three high-resolution for the award-winners digital presentation on Monday morning, and for print use in Healthcare Design magazine.

Industry Certifications & Standards;

The judges will preview all entries digitally, will work in two to three teams, and will visit exhibit booths during exhibitor set-up hours on Sunday, Nov.  5th, 9:15 am – 12:30 pm to examine/judge the actual products and ask questions of the manufacturers. Because time for judging is limited, each exhibitor must designate one person prepared to guide jurors to the product and answer questions. A maximum of 12 minutes will be allowed for product presentation.  The jury will evaluate and assign Gold, Silver, Innovation, Sustainability, and Best of Competition Awards. The decisions of the judges are final.
