JUDGES & JUDGING CRITERIA
A qualified judging panel of healthcare interior designers and facilities executives not affiliated with the Sponsor will evaluate entries on the basis of the criteria: contribution to the quality of healthcare; functionality; quality/durability; aesthetics/style; environmental sustainability; and pricing. The judges will preview all entries digitally from October 29 to November 10. The judges will work in two to three teams and will visit exhibit booths during exhibitor set-up hours on Sunday, November 11th, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm to examine/judge the actual products and ask questions of the manufacturers. Because time for judging is limited, each exhibitor must designate one person prepared to guide jurors to the product and answer questions. This person MUST be available at your booth until judging is completed. A maximum of 12 minutes will be allowed for product presentation. The jury will evaluate and assign Gold, Silver, Innovation, and Best of Competition Awards. The decisions of the judges are final.
Judging Times on Sunday, November 11, 2018:
9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ALL Booths
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Juror Lunch & Finalist deliberation

There are no monetary prizes. Selected winners are eligible for a Gold Award, Silver Award, or Innovation Award, and one will receive the overall Best of Competition Award. Winner signage will be distributed for use in the exhibitor booths, so exhibit attendees will know the product is a winner. Digital Awards, certificates, and logos in low-resolution and high-resolution will be delivered at the close of the Awards ceremony via e-mail to the marketing manager or person who completed the entry form. The winner may digitally distribute the certificates and logos, post them to digital and printed product literature, to web sites, press releases, social media and any communications methods used to convey the product is a Nightingale award-winner. Winners will receive editorial coverage in the December issue of Contract and Healthcare Design magazines, and in the Center for Health Design’s promotions and notices.
